SPONSOR AND SUPPORT GADEN LHOPA MONKS 70 New Young Boys Arrive at Gaden Lhopa
Dear Sponsor and Supporters of Lhopa Khangtsen:
When sponsoring a Gaden Lhopa
monk, your generous funds to sponsor a monk is divided
between the individual sponsored monk and the sick monks of our khangtsen. There has been a
slight modification to the past
administrative system and the khangtsen's management has unanimously agreed to
majority amount to the individual sponsored monk and the remaining amount
are to be applied to the following aspects of support. - To support sick and destitute monks:
Your generous donation of
above five US dollars would benefit the monks who become
sick frequently and the destitute monks who do not have any
financial source to meet their daily necessities. - To support electricity and water facility:
Electricity is one of the
most essential parts of monastic studies as the monks used to
study mostly in the early and late hours of the day. Besides,
water facility is operated with mortar run by the electricity.
During the electricity failures, the generator has be operated
in order to produce electricity. Most of the time electricity
shortage is accompanied by the water problem. Therefore, your
kind donation would help to support expenses of electricity,
petrol for generator and for the repairing the damaged
electrical parts and the generator. - To support renovation and painting of monks' quarters:
Due to variation in climatic
condition of the area, the monks' quarters most of the time
require frequent renovation and painting. The damages to the
quarters are usually highest during and after the monsoon.
Therefore, your kind donation would help to improve the living
condition of the monks. - To support education of monks:
Your generous donation would
benefit the monks to buy and acquire stationary, books,
religious texts and robes. - To hold special pujas on your request:
The prospective donors can
also request for special pujas during difficult times in order
to improve the quality of one's life. Guruyoga Puja, Tara Puja,
Medicine Buddha Puja, White Umbrella Puja, Protector Deity Puja,
Special prayers so on can be organized on donor's request. Whenever you donate, the donor's name would be announced during the mass congregation of the khangtsen monks and the monks would be requested to pray for the donor's success, peace of mind, health and prosperity. The donor would be informed at once on receiving the donation at the Khangtsen.
To Donate To donate, you can either send your donation in the form of bank check directly to the khangtsen or you can send it through Thubten Dhargye Ling Centre. In either case, please mention on the check the recipient's name as " Lhopa Khangtsen Education Committee". Besides these, please do not send your donation through any other individuals or organizations. Along with this, please inform the khangtsen immediately through email/fax after sending your donation.
For your kind information, please send us your email address in order have a speedy and more frequent correspondence. In case you change your postal address or email address, please kindly inform us the same.
Unlike the past, we now have computer and email facility in the khangtsen. Therefore we can write and reply your letters much faster.
